About me

In 2015 I attended an exhibition at the New York Studio School and was immediately struck by the professionalism, creativity, innovation and excitement it generated.  It resonated with me through the sense of community, the encouraging classroom environment, the excellent facilities and spaces to develop a strong working practice.

I instantly felt a connection and knew it was my next step in my progression as an artist confirming that NYSS was my next challenge. The MFA is a full time, rigorous studio practice.

I am a Gray’s School of Art (Aberdeen) Graduate, graduating in 2014, with a First Class Honours Degree. I represented Gray’s at New Contemporaries in the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh in 2015 as well as being awarded a studio to continue my practice. Since graduating in 2014, I have worked as a Technician and Tutor Support at Leith School of Art in Edinburgh. I have developed significantly in this time; gaining extensive knowledge and experience and feel it is time now to consolidate my passion into an active drawing extensive practice in this Masters Course. I am inspired every day working at Leith School of Art and want to utilise this excitement to further my own artistic development at a higher level. During this time, I have exhibited throughout Edinburgh and most recently London where I was awarded a Contemporary Arts Trust award.

I am seeking financial aid to help me further my education at the New York Studio School.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Please let me know if you can help in any way to help make this opportunity happen for me.
